What is the "Loop System" ?
Intelligent Central Office Call-In/Call Distribution System.
Who uses the "Loop System" ?
OSP techs, Remote Testers, and Testers outside of the CO call into the Loop System. The Loop System announcement directs the caller to frame location selections (1st Floor, 3rd Floor, Carrier, etc).
Central Office Frame techs receive audible and visual notification of calls to the frame. The LED on the Jack Panels illuminates - The CO Frame tech will plug his Headset into the jack.
The Jack Panels are conveniently located every 10 - 15 feet to allow HANDS FREE communication at the cable pair. The Jack Panel also features a HOLD button to move to better test locations.
Typical application of the Loop System ?
The Loop System is typically located in midsize to larger Central Offices that have a high volume of call in activity to the frame.
